National Skeet Shooting Association - Skeet - In 1920 in the town of Andover, Massachusetts, a small group of upland game hunters took to shooting clay targets as a means of practicing their wing shooting. A uniform series of shots were developed to keep the competition fair and even for all. It was from this crude beginning that the modern day version of skeet shooting developed.
National Sporting Clays Association - Sporting Clays - National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA), a division of the National Skeet Shooting Association, is the official governing body in the United States and Canada for this exciting sport. The NSCA is dedicated to the development of the sport at all levels of participation and vows to create an atmosphere of healthy competition and meaningful fellowship within its membership. Shooters who wish to compete and are experienced wingshots can enter sporting clays tournaments and be competitive immediately.
The Internet Archery Society - They are devoted to the promotion of archery and bowhunting, the protection of wildlife, and the preservation of wildlife habitats for use by all people.
